Individual Basic Office Assessments

Basic assessments work very well in combination with Office Ergonomics Seminars, such as Ergonomics for the Desk-Bound.  After your employees have been trained to know what contributes to injury and how to work properly to prevent it, they can get an individualized One-on-One set-up.  An Anderson Ergonomics Consultant can go to their office and help them set up their workstation based on the ergonomic principles just learned in the seminar.  This takes approximately 30 minutes per employee.

Basic Office Assessments ensure that the employee has their workstation set up the best way possible and that the employee can work using the principles learned in the seminar.

Any improvements we cannot make on-site will be identified in a mini report for the employee as well as a summary report for the Client Management, so they can easily implement the recommendations.

Individual Enhanced Office Assessments

Office ergonomic assessments determine the risk factors and hazards that have the potential to cause discomfort and/or injury to the employee performing the job.  The analysis provides the basis for recommendations to reduce or eliminate risk factors, minimizing injury to employees.  Office ergonomic assessments look at an employee’s posture working in their computer environment as well as consider elements of lifting, filing, standing, etc.

Physical Demands Description / Analysis

The Physical Demands Description (JDD / PDA) is a brief assessment of the physical, mental, and environmental requirements of a job(s) within a company.  This determines and describes the risk factors involved in performing the job(s).  An ergonomic analysis of the risks associated with these jobs can also be done.

This PDD or PDA can be used to:

  • Build a database of tasks and the physical demands required
  • Assist in returning injured employees to work
  • Highlight which jobs have a high potential to produce discomfort and/or injury to employees

This can assist companies in prioritizing ergonomic analyses on high-risk jobs.

Return to Work Assessment

You spend a lot of time and money training your employees to be effective and productive and it hurts your bottom line when they are injured.  It is a well-known fact that the longer an injured employee stays home from work, the less likely they are to return to the same job.

Anderson Ergonomics Consultants have the expertise and experience to bring employees back to work safely.  We can assist your company to develop a modified work and/or return to work program.  Our consultants with a therapy background can ensure that employees are ready to return and can coach employees to do it successfully.  Job Demands Description
